Our Story

Born from a shared love for nature, craftsmanship and authentic connections, Virnelli was founded in 2024 as a father-and-son business. We set out on a mission to bring the beauty of real products, real food and tradition to your kitchen table. The journey began with a road trip through Italy, in search of the perfect product. A product that is not only remarkable in itself, but also tells a story.

We visited the hills of Tuscany, the landscapes of Puglia and the coastlines of Calabria, discovering the rich diversity of Italian olive oils. In our first year, we found Al Fornovecchio — a warm family nestled in the hills of Lazio. This small organic farm felt like home from the very first moment. We sat down at the family table with a view of the ancient olive trees and tasted oil the way oil is meant to be tasted.

We sold our first batch out completely. That gave us the opportunity to keep searching and expand to two suppliers this year. In Calabria, we met Deborah and Cheda from Timpa Bianca, where centuries-old olive trees are tended with the same love for tradition and organic craftsmanship. There too, we shared a meal, met the family and discovered the real story behind the oil.

They are no longer just suppliers — they are friends. Two families with whom we have built a bond, each with their own character and story. Because at Virnelli, everything has to be right: from tree to bottle, from story to taste. Everything is an experience, and that experience is what we want to bring to your table.
